For that peaceful break in the beautiful Blackmore Vale countryside come to Kite Cottage in Bagber near the pretty market town of Sturminster Newton.
Sympathetically and imaginatively converted from a former barn, this most attractive cottage now provides very comfortable two bedroom accommodation for four people, a cot and a dog! It is of immense charm with superb facilities.
Tucked down a quiet country lane, set in a peaceful location in the Blackmore Vale and with lovely views, it is perfect for relaxation and exploring this superb area. Ideal for that romantic break but suitable for young children too!
The Isle of Purbeck with its Jurassic Coast Line is within easy reach, as are the historic towns of Sturminster Newton, Thomas Hardy, Dorset's most noted author wrote The Return of the Native when he lived in the town, Shaftesbury with the beautiful Gold Hill made famous in the Hovis advert, and Sherborne boasting two castles and a fabulous selection of shops, ranging from FatFace to old fashioned chemists, a local butcher and superb delicatessen. Fishing, Golf, historic houses and gardens abound.

As well as a woodburner in the lounge, Kite Cottage is centrally heated and has all the standard facilities that we offer and we do allow well behaved pets (one dog at a time though please!). Bed linen and towels are all provided, as well as tea-towels, bath mats and environmentally friendly cleaning materials. We put a jug of organic milk in the fridge for your arrival - with our compliments, along with enough Fair Trade or organic tea, coffee, sugar and herbal tea to get you started!
